, a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, has completed the installation of its OPERA Enterprise Solution (OES), to include Front-Office Property Management, Multi-Property and Revenue Management modules, at the 850 room Little America Hotel and the newly opened 776 room Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah. Both properties are owned and operated by Sinclair Oil Corporation and have been designated as the main headquarters for the International Olympic Committee and NBC during the upcoming Winter Olympics.
The OPERA Enterprise Solution is a fully integrated suite of products consisting of modules that can be easily added or expanded, allowing effective and easy deployment from smaller operations to global, multi-branded hotel chain environments. Hotels can deploy OES with just the Front Office module or they can integrate Sales & Catering, Revenue Management, Quality Management, Back Office, Materials Management and other applications. In addition, the OPERA Enterprise Solution offers products for corporate management, including the Central Reservations System for centralized guestroom and function space sales, and the Enterprise Information System, a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) package specifically designed for the hotel industry. "With a total of 1,626 rooms between the Little America and Grand America properties, we needed a sophisticated system to centralize management tasks such as reservations, PBX (Private Branch Exchange) and accounting," explained George Odencrantz, Director of IT for Sinclair Oil Corporation.
