, a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, announces that the Perkins Restaurant & Bakery chain has signed an agreement to purchase MICROS RES (Restaurant Enterprise Series) 3000 Software and Eclipse workstations for all new store openings over the next two years. Perkins, operated by The Restaurant Company in Memphis, TN, is a long- time customer of MICROS and is currently using the MICROS 2700 HMS (Hospitality Management System) in existing store locations. "Our decision to upgrade to the next-generation POS (Point-of-Sale) system from MICROS reiterates Perkins's commitment to using technology to our advantage," states Phil Joyner, Director of Information Technology at The Restaurant Company.
