PITTSBURGH , October 2, 2001 V Aptech Computer Systems, Inc. today announced the availability of five-seat licenses of the Enterprise version of its business intelligence application, Execuvue„¥, previously only available for a minimum of 25 seats. At an affordable price point, small- to medium-sized management companies can now employ the robust Enterprise version, which includes both standalone and web-based configurations, to uncover trends and §hotspots ¨ such as energy costs and RevPAR; customize owner packets; and create ¥What if? ¦ analyses with a drill down capability through report views.
Execuvue„¥ Enterprise, which has been available to large management firms for over a year, allows web access to corporate accounting data, reservations, operational, quality control, sales, and Smith Travel Research data from any point. §As long as you can get to the Internet V wirelessly or through a physical connection - you can see all the data, ¨ said Jay Troutman, president of Aptech. The application quickly attaches to and, on demand, organizes any desired combination of information with drag and drop Windows simplicity.
Troutman cited recent developments in the Smith Travel Research daily data program as a key force in requiring multi-property management companies to use drill down applications to make rapid, proactive decisions.
§Execuvue„¥ has put us in the same league as Interstate and Starwood in terms of being able to interpret our data sooner, ¨ said Mark Pate, MIS Director and Assistant Controller with Highpointe Hotels, a 13-property full service hotel management and development company. §As an example, we reconcile cash every day, and since Execuvue„¥ spins the data cube every night, the information is available the next day. Before, we had to put the data into Excel or a Lotus spreadsheet and massage it a lot, which was tremendously time consuming. ¨
Pate cited three key areas of Execuvue„¥ use: Letting general managers, owners, and partners do queries for their hotels such as budget versus actual; budgeting and forecasting for 2002; and V by mid-November -- having every property linked to Execuvue„¥ and Profitvue„¥, a web-based accounting system also from Aptech, via a URL on Highpointe ¦s web site.
Execuvue„¥ is available in two configurations:
- Execuvue„¥ Standalone, preferred by power users who generate intensive, analytical reports on PCs and laptops that may or may not be connected to corporate servers; and
- Execuvue„¥ Enterprise, which can combine a Standalone configuration along with a browser-based, web-enabled version that requires little training. Operational departments and sales managers can access the corporate server, wirelessly or through dial-up, to drill down and generate ad hoc reports that can be emailed for instant distribution.
Pricing for Execuvue„¥ Enterprise is $8,000 per seat with a five seat minimum, and Execuvue„¥ Standalone is $5,000 per user seat. Aptech complements this solution by providing customizations and the ability to bring together multiple data sources and/or properties, all within the customer ¦s budget and timeline.
