SynXis and LMS Sign Distributor Agreement
Interface Between Leading Central Reservations and Property Management Systems Streamlines Operations in Gaming Industry
11 April 2001

McLean, VA -- SynXis Corporation and Inter-American Data (IAD), maker of Lodging Management System (LMS), announced today that they have launched a partnership to jointly market the SynXis Agent(tm) reservation management system and LMS, a leading property management system in the gaming industry. Under the agreement, IAD will become a Value Added Reseller (VAR) for SynXis. The two companies recently launched an interface between the systems at multiple Harrah's properties nationwide.

Together, the SynXis and LMS applications deliver a robust reservations and property management solution for the gaming and large resort market. With its XML-based interface, reservations made through SynXis by travel agents using the Global Distribution System (GDS) or by online guests using the Internet are automatically downloaded into the LMS property management system, significantly reducing manual data entry and labor costs.

In addition, SynXis' channel management capabilities provide users with greater control by enabling them to make real-time room rate and availability changes for each booking channel, such as GDS, Internet, or voice reservations, individually.

LMS is the dominant property management system for the gaming and large resort environment. With the recent release of a scaled-down version of its hardware component, LMS is now able to target smaller properties.

"Our relationship with SynXis will provide the market with a significant technology advantage," said Bill Lashley, Chief Operating Officer of Inter-American Data. "We expect many of our existing LMS casino users to adopt the SynXis system because of its enhanced channel management capabilities and the potential for significant operations efficiency and cost savings."

"SynXis is eager to be working with LMS as one of our property management partners," said Bernard Ellis, Vice President of Product Strategy at SynXis. "Their strong position in the gaming and large property market will help us expand our presence there and our European presence will support LMS's international expansion efforts."
