, a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, has been selected to provide hospitality management software systems for nine Argentinean cinema complexes owned and operated by Hoyts General Cinema South America. Installations have been completed thus far in Buenos Aires, Lanus and Temperley, Argentina, and six more installations plan to be completed by August 2001. The MICROS 3700 Point-of- Sale (POS) System will manage all transactions at each cinema's food court and provide centralized operation from Hoyts General Cinema South America corporate headquarters in Buenos Aires.
The MICROS 3700 POS System is Windows®-based and offers enterprise-wide system integration capability and overall flexibility for management. The system's graphical interface features a full-color touch screen and customizable options such as "screen designer," which can help reduce server training time and improve productivity. The on-site and headquarters reporting capabilities with added controls provide a comprehensive solution for multi-location operators.
