SynXis Corporation develops Internet and intranet applications utilizing network computing and distributed object-oriented database technologies. The company has successfully implemented new software systems in two vertical markets: hotel and telecommunications. The name SynXis can be broken down into the prefix "syn" and the suffix "sis." Syn is borrowed from ancient Greek and means with or together. Sis is also from ancient Greek and means a process or action. Combine the two together and we have an action taken together or joint effort -- in a word: synergy. This synergy applies equally to the software solutions created by the company and the partnerships SynXis forms with major industry leaders. Mr. Coppoolse is the former President & COO of Lancaster Hotels and Resorts. He has 10 years experience operating a private hotel company with international properties. He also served as senior executive for Sonesta Hotels from 1978-1987 and worked for them in The Netherlands, Egypt, Switzerland and the USA. He worked for 2 ½ years with Sheraton Hotels responsible for the development of their luxury brand. Mr. Coppoolse is a US citizen of Dutch descent and a graduate of the Hotel School of Lausanne, Switzerland, with a marketing degree from the University of Amsterdam. He speaks fluent French, German, Dutch and English.
