COLUMBIA, Md. -- Macdonald Hotels plc has signed an agreement with MICROS Systems, Inc.

to install the MICROS- Fidelio OPERA Central Reservations and Customer Information Systems in their hotel properties in the UK. The system will be implemented over the next six months and linked together with the existing MICROS- Fidelio property management systems throughout the Macdonald Hotels group to provide an integrated reservation and guest management system.
The new MICROS-Fidelio Central Reservations System (CRS) will allow Macdonald Hotels to manage a single image inventory system that enhances sales office automation and facilitates direct bookings. The integrated MICROS-Fidelio Customer Information System will collect and manage guest, travel agent, group and company profile information in a centralized database, ensuring availability of accurate and timely data for improving customer service and enhancing hotel revenue. Derek Leslie, IT Director for the Macdonald Hotels group, explained that the purchase of the MICROS-Fidelio Central Reservations System and Cost Info System is core to the IT Strategy of the group.
