Rockville, MD - Visual One Systems, a leading hospitality software vendor, will be demonstrating its hotel management software on the Internet at the International Hotel Motel and Restaurant Show, in New York City, from November 11-14. Though visitors at the show will see the system on a wireless connected Internet terminal, the software and data will actually reside on an ASP server that is located at Visual One headquarters in Rockville, Maryland.
Visual One is the first system running on the Internet that includes Property Management, Sales & Catering, Restaurant Point-Of-Sale, Back Office Accounting, and Golf Course Management. The fully-featured software is being used by hotels as large as 1,350 rooms. The addition of Internet capability will allow hotels to consolidate the support for multiple properties in a central location. With one server at a central site, multiple hotels can connect to the ASP server for access to all of the functions and data, with or without an Internet Browser. "The main advantage is that the central server could be maintained by one, central database and one hardware and network staff," says Dave Burroughs, President of Visual One Systems.
