MICROS Acquires Frontier Business Technologies, A Major Distributor of MICROS's Products in North America

COLUMBIA, Md. -- MICROS Systems, Inc. [NASDAQ: MCRS] , a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, today announced its purchase of Frontier Business Technologies, Inc., a Buffalo, NY based company. Frontier Business Technologies, Inc. is the second largest distributor of MICROS products in the U.S. and Canada. The company will now operate as two wholly owned subsidiaries of MICROS: MICROS-Fidelio Direct North Central, which will serve U.S. customers in New York and western Pennsylvania, and MICROS-Fidelio Direct Eastern Canada, which will serve Canadian customers in Canada's eastern provinces.

Frontier Business Technologies, Inc. is western New York's largest provider of point-of-sale (POS) equipment to the restaurant and hospitality industry. Frontier has customized the MICROS POS systems to meet the specific needs of its clients, which include Burger King, Delaware North Companies, and ACCOR Hotel Properties. With five offices, Frontier currently serves over 1,500 customers locally, nationally, and in Canada, and has installed more stadiums and arenas with MICROS products across the U.S. than any other independent MICROS dealership in the country.
