SMS|World, Springer-Miller's internet server product that allows customers to conduct business via the World Wide Web, uses real-time communication with the SMS|Host Complete Hospitality Management Systems, eliminating the need for manual rate, yield-control, and availability maintenance. And SMS|World creates actual reservations in real time, eliminating the need to rekey bookings at the property. SMS|World, released in the middle of 1999, also handles many other types of interactive guest activity in real time. By integrating with SMS|World, reservations made through the "Springer-Miller properties will benefit substantially by implementing this approach," said John Springer-Miller, President and CEO. "For the first time, individual properties will be able to enjoy direct, real-time Internet booking capabilities on a global basis." SMS|World has no reservation fees associated with it, so bookings generated directly through SMS|World from a property's web site will still not have any direct costs. "Bookings generated by the property's web site through SMS|World have been protected against any fees," said Springer-Miller.
