12 June 2000

MCLEAN, Va., June 13 / SynXis Corporation, a leading developer of software and electronic commerce solutions, announced today an alliance with VIP International, a wholly owned subsidiary of HARS Systems Inc.

VIP International, a provider of electronic distribution and marketing services to the hotel and car rental industries, will employ SynXis products including the SynXis Agent (TM) reservation system, SynXis Book-A-Rez (TM), and SynXis' Global Distribution System (GDS) connectivity solution. This partnership will enable VIP International and SynXis to offer comprehensive, cutting-edge solutions to the hospitality industry.

"We are very pleased to have the SynXis suite of products as part of our service offering," said Kelly Blake, president of VIP International. "With the SynXis products, we believe VIP International provides the best total reservation services solution to the hospitality industry."

SynXis Agent(TM), with its suite of related products, offers the first fully Web-based reservation system that allows single image, real-time inventory to all booking sources. It includes a seamless connection to the Global Distribution Systems (GDSs) and a consumer-booking tool that operates with a property's or chain's own Web site, all on one easy-to-use system.

"By taking advantage of the SynXis solution, VIP International can rely on leading edge and superior technology that will give them a competitive advantage," said Bill Eichhorn, EVP and COO of SynXis. "Given their proven track record for effective marketing and electronic distribution, VIP International's endorsement of our products validates the benefits of ASP technology to the hospitality industry."
