MICROS Creates Strategic Alliance with Systems Union to Provide Back-Office Solutions for Hospitality Management Suite

COLUMBIA, Md. / May 9, 2000--MICROS Systems, Inc. [NASDAQ: MCRS] , a leading provider of information technology solutions to the hospitality industry, has signed a contract with UK-based Systems Union pursuant to which MICROS will offer Systems Union's powerful financial and business management software, SunSystems.

As an integrated part of the MICROS-Fidelio hotel product suite, this new strategic alliance will provide MICROS-Fidelio customers with one of the world's best-selling and most functional software solutions, which offers platform independence, a flexible structure, and superior integration.
