, a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, has signed an agreement with Genesis Hotels & Resorts Corporation in the Philippines to provide MICROS hotelBANK as the booking engine to all hotels that will be managed by GHRC.
hotelBANK, a subsidiary of MICROS Systems, Inc., is a technologically advanced e-commerce solution that provides hotels with the ability to permit their customers to make on-line reservations via the Internet and also provides GDS connectivity to all major Travel Agent booking systems. Currently, more than 2,800 hotels use the system worldwide. As part of the agreement for the hotels represented by GHRC, hotelBANK will implement its hotelBANK booking engine service, which will allow identified clients to make their own on-line reservations and which provides instant confirmations to the appropriate hotel. With the hotelBANK booking engine, each hotel can provide an Internet link on its website to its corporate clients with direct access to specially contracted rates. In addition to providing Internet connectivity, hotelBANK allows for a reduction in operating and administrative costs while capturing important travel statistics and customer preferences. GHRC is a hotel management group organized by Miguel G. Cerqueda and Michael L. Cuisia, both of whom have a wealth of management expertise in operations and marketing in the hotel and hospitality industry. The company was created to provide management services - constancy and operations - for owners and developers of 5- & 4-star hotels, triple A resorts, and serviced apartments in the Philippines. GHRC not only has the expertise and contacts but can also provide trained personnel and systems - two key ingredients for successful hotel and resort operations.
