COLUMBIA, Md. -- MICROS Systems Inc. has opened a distribution subsidiary in Mexico City, Mexico to increase the company's presence and sales in this important Latin American market.
COLUMBIA, Md. -- MICROS Systems Inc. has opened a distribution subsidiary in Mexico City, Mexico to increase the company's presence and sales in this important Latin American market.
The new office will be staffed with 40 employees, providing round-the-clock service and support. The company also has official representatives in place in the key cities of Cancun, Monterrey, Acapulco, and Guadalajara, to efficiently serve customers in those highly populated locations. According to Ricardo Castro Lechtaler, Vice President - Latin America & Caribbean, MICROS has been serving Mexico both directly and indirectly for more than 10 years. "We are excited to be establishing our first office in Mexico which will be fully dedicated to our Mexican clients," stated Castro. "MICROS already has a substantial market presence here with corporate hotels and restaurants, but our local office will allow us to develop new relationships more effectively. Mexico's tourist areas and industrial cities are growing rapidly, and MICROS has the advanced technology to serve these businesses." The new distribution center will market and support the full line of MICROS products: MICROS point-of-sale restaurant products, the MICROS 3500 Front Desk Hotel Management System, and the Fidelio line of hotel software products, along with a complete line of service products for the hospitality industry.
