The announcement was made at the annual Hotel Electronic Data Network Association (HEDNA) trade show in Atlanta. SynXis Agent(TM) connects hotels to the traditional and alternative distribution channels without the intervention of the typical industry intermediaries.

"We have developed a secure, scalable, intelligent and flexible e-business application," reports Bill Eichhorn, COO of SynXis. "Since our product was developed as an ASP, there are no capital costs and our customers pay a nominal transaction fee only for reservations received."

In addition to the seamless connectivity to the Global Distribution Systems (GDSs), SynXis Agent(TM) offers single image, real-time inventory to the alternative distribution channels and to customers' own web sites. Other features of the SynXis Agent(TM) reservation management solution include channel management, single image inventory controls, guest history data collection and PMS interface capabilities.

SynXis Agent(TM) is fully operational in the Utopia Lifestyle Inns () as a connectivity and channel management solution and in Marc Resorts Hawaii operating as a complete central reservation system.
